-
-
- Concept:
-
- To help you catalog your cassttes and assist you in
- printing catalogs, listings and labels for the case and
- front of the tape. There are entries for Tape Number,
- Title, Artist, and up to ten tunes on each side.
-
- Getting Started:
-
- First you must install the data files on your data disk.
- To do this type in INSTALL X (replacing X with the name of
- the drive you wish to install the files on.). If you use C:
- it will be installed on the current directory of your Hard
- Drive.
-
- Once installed type in CASMSTR to start.
-
- The System:
-
- Is designed using KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) so not much
- information is needed to get started. Here are a few notes
- to help you use the system:
-
- The Data Entry Screens:
-
- Any of the data entry screens shown in Add, Update, or
- Delete can be 'zipped' through. That is if you do not enter
- the Synopsis then just hit page down after entering Co Star
- to blank the rest of the lines. When deleting just hit page
- down to confirm that you want to delete that Feature.
-
- The Labels:
-
- Are printed for 3" X 15/16" pinfed labels. Experiment with
- your printer for alignment before printing your whole
- collection. When asked for a from and to Tape Number
- remember that these numbers are inclusive ie if you enter 1
- to 4 it will print 1,2,3, and 4.
-
- The Case Labels:
-
- Are printed two on a standard piece of paper and have cut
- out lines for cutting them to the correct size.
-
-
- Tune and Title Search:
-
- May take awhile depending on how big your data file is.
- You may consider doing the search from a RAM drive to speed
- it up. Many thanks to Steve Woodside who suggested adding
- the Tune search to the program. The program will also
- continue to search after it has found one tape that has the
- tune, so just hit the page down key to continue the search.
- If the program displays " Search Complete" without
- displaying any records, this means that the tune was not
- found (Check spelling!).
-
- Data Drive:
-
- You can choose a default data drive on the Colour menu.
-
- Colours:
-
- Are as follows:
-
-
-
- Color Letter
- ------------------
- Black N
- Blue B
- Green G
- Cyan BG
- Red R
- Magenta RB
- Brown GR
- White W
- ------------------
-
- Q/A/I Message:
-
- If a Q/A/I message appears in the upper right hand corner
- of your screen ALWAYS use Q, this will cause the files to be
- closed properly.
-
-
- Enjoy!
